Hi, my name is Mae. I am Filipino, 19, and currently live in San Jose, California. I go to school at Sonoma State University with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. I am also currently taking acting classes at John Robert Powers in San Jose. (I know some of you have negative feelings towards JRP but the one I go to is awesome!!)

At 19 years old, I feel that mentally I'm pretty wise beyond my years, but I've still got the heart and spirit of a 5 year old little girl. Growing up, I always believed that there was something more for me in life. As cheesy as it sounds, I use to (and still do!) tell myself that I was destined to do something great within my lifetime - to make a difference somehow, someway. When people ask me to describe myself, I find it's always the hardest thing to do. To put a label on me would be ridiculous, unnecessary, and frankly, pointless. My interests vary from playing video games, sitting at home reading, playing the guitar or piano, going out with my friends to a dance, working out and playing sports, rocking out at a concert, or simply kicking back eating a bowl of ice cream and watching a movie. I'm always growing, learning, making mistakes, trying new things. I don't believe in limiting yourself. It wouldn't be life if you just stand at the sidelines and watch things go by - take chances! Take risks, but always remember to stay true to yourself.

Three things that I am very passionate about are films, music, and photography. I am interested in roles for films, television, print modeling, commercials and voice overs. I have always taken an interest in film productions. I love the feeling when a movie sticks with me for a couple days, whether it be a specific line that stood out, a song that played during an intense scene, the visual effects, or the actors and actresses that made the story come to life. I wanted to become an actress because I want that opportunity to help tell a story and bring a character to life. I consider myself someone who is passionate, hard working, open-minded and down to earth. Some of my favorite actors and actresses include Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler, Emile Hirsche, Leonardo Dicaprio, and many many more!

In a year from now, I'd like to see myself...
-starting off in several commercials and print advertising
-playing roles in independent films
-being happy and successful!!

Although I enjoy comedy and romance films, I think that I'd excel playing dark and conflicted characters - theres so much more to uncover and work with!
